Why tint windows?

The Car window tintingoffers an effective UV protection and heat protection for children, especially babies, who still have sensitive skin. Untinted or factory-tinted car windows (which are just colored glass) do NOT protect against UVA radiation.
Window tinting prevents harmful UV rays (UV-A and UV-B rays) from entering the car, significantly reducing the risk of sunburn and long-term skin damage. Parents should therefore consider the benefits of professional window tinting to ensure the safety and well-being of their children during car journeys.

Additionally, properly applied window tinting protects the vehicle interior from overheating. Special tinting films help keep the interior cooler for longer, which is especially important for children and babies. A comfortable climate inside the car allows young passengers to travel more relaxed. Therefore, high-quality car window tinting not only provides UV protection but also improves driving comfort for the whole family. Heat protection films They offer additional comfort for themselves and their children, as the IR rays are rejected, making the journey significantly more pleasant and cooler.

UV heat protection for dogs This is an important aspect that dog owners should consider when tinting car windows. Tinting the car windows can significantly lower the temperature inside the vehicle, which is especially important on hot summer days, making it more comfortable for our four-legged friends. Window tinting not only prevents heat from building up in the car, but also protects dogs' sensitive eyes from UV rays.

Additionally, a good UV sun protection film helps prevent fading of seats and interior trim, thus preserving the vehicle's value. Professional installation of the window tinting is also important to ensure optimal effectiveness and longevity.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about Window Tinting

How long does my vehicle need to stay with you for window tinting?

Do I have a warranty on the window tinting?

We offer a guarantee of three years up to a lifetime guarantee on the lightfastness and fading of the films.

Can the sun protection film be removed again?

Yes, the window tint can be removed without leaving any residue. You can also have it done by us.

Can the rear side windows be opened after tinting?

We recommend not using the rear side windows for a few days after the film has been applied, so that the film can dry properly.

Are the sun protection films installed in one piece or assembled in several parts, e.g., on the heating wire?

We install the sun protection films in one piece. Even on the Tesla Model 3.

Can I use the rear window defroster even if the windows are tinted?

Yes, as soon as the sun protection film is dry. Depending on whether it's summer or winter, you may have to wait a few days or up to two weeks.

Does any of the trim need to be removed before tinting my car windows?

We do not dismantle vehicle parts.

Does anything else need to be prepared on the vehicle?

Please bring your vehicle to us washed on the outside. If you have any pet hair inside, please remove it as best you can.

Is it possible to tint car windows without bubbles forming?

We apply the sun protection films with the utmost care and after thoroughly cleaning the windows multiple times. However, neither the air nor your vehicle is 100% dust-free, so despite our best efforts, tiny dust inclusions cannot be completely avoided.

How much does window tinting cost?

Are there any problems with vehicle windows that have black edges?

Some panes have a ceramic coating with a dot matrix applied by the manufacturer around the edge. For technical reasons, this coating varies in thickness and surface roughness. Films adhere only partially to this coating, so in some cases the dot matrix may be partially or completely visible. This visual characteristic is not a reason for complaint, as it is technically inherent and beyond the manufacturer's control.

Screen printing edges

Rear windows and triangular windows are often decorated with a screen print that fades into black dots. Air and water tend to collect at this transition, leading to a lighter discoloration. However, you can significantly improve the result with a little extra work. If lighter areas are still visible after about ten days of drying time, gently press down on the affected areas from the inside. Feel free to use your finger or thumb for this. From the outside, you can now see the light edge disappearing. Whether the white edge disappears completely depends on the vehicle and/or the window manufacturer (the height of the screen print). The flatter the edge, the better the result. In rare cases, the dot pattern may appear uneven. Since this visual characteristic is due to the manufacturing process and cannot be influenced during tinting, it is not a valid reason for complaint.

Drying process of the films

Drying typically takes 1 to 4 weeks. In summer, drying is often complete within a few days. However, to be on the safe side, movable windows should not be opened for at least two weeks. Streaks may be visible in the film during the drying process. These will disappear once dry. Window tinting can be done in both winter and summer. The quality of the film is not affected by temperatures ranging from 30°C to -30°C.
